Big Bad

And what is a dom to do when she loves cake, but realises that skin tight PVC over a few rolls of fat is not her best look?

Why is fetish fashion so unforgiving? I know black is flattering but shiny is helping none of us. And why are the cutest clothes only available in teeny sizes? And why does TopShop torment me (why don’t they torment someone who’d enjoy it dammit) by holding enough black leather items in stock to make them look like a fetish store (at a tenth the price) but stock nothing above a size 14? Why is fetish such a bind for the fattish?

If I slip on a black PVC dress at the moment I look like a slug with hair. It’s not good. And as for thigh boots, does anyone (other than drag queens) have thighs thin enough to get into them?

Of course my sub is supportive, but it’s little consolation. After all it’s hard enough to believe your *best* *friend* when she tells you your bum doesn’t look big in your latest purchase, let alone your sub. He has to say I’m beautiful. And he might beg to kiss my arse but I can’t shake the idea that however perfect his outward behaviour might be there isn’t a little voice inside his head telling him that now he knows what it would be like to be run over by a big black shiny VW Beetle.

I suppose I should thank my lucky stars I’m not a sub and don’t have to worry about being ordered to strip off on a fat day. Jeez, girls, I don’t know how you do it.

But what IS a dom to do? Diet? Self displine? Control? Denial? It’s just not me.
Answers on a jaffa cake.

  • Re the thigh highs: I found a pair that laced up at the back for the last 10cm or so, which means they can be of course unlaced for larger thighs … if you’d like details drop me a line.!

  • Thanks, but, you know, since I wrote this, I’ve kind of come to terms with that fact that I am just not that thigh-boot-wearing dom.

It was never the boots - it was me.

  • Thigh boots are uncomfortable when you sit down. Richard bought me three pair and I don’t think I’ve worn them more than three times. They lie discarded and unloved in the bedroom. I was thinking of getting them muddy and selling them to some guy who’d pay extra for mud on the outside and sweat on the inside.

I wonder if that would work.

For me, the boot stops at the knee, and that’s a good thing, what with that joint there and all.

  • I wrote this so long ago. Years ago. And used it when I started the blog. It’s funny now to think I was bothered about these things.

I used to care so much more about looking the part and the process of writing this blog has changed and refined a lot of my opinions.

I’ve never owned any thigh boots. I used to wear knee boots though - even ones with heels - but I don’t bother now.

Now it’s getting warmer I wear Birkenstocks and Scholls.

  • But it’s been just a few months!

  • Some of the earliest posts are from my earlier blog.

This, in fact, I think I wrote in about 2002

  • Why didn’t u continue with that blog?

  • My original blog was on Informed Consent, back in the days before they were called blogs. It was a weblog.

I lost interest I think because there was no commenting facility back then. The reason I enjoy this blog so much is because of all the talking back.

  • That’s nice. Good to have you here then! I like the comment section a lot too. Almost as much as your posts. :)
