Oh yes, yes, yes naked men are unattractive, ugly, funny... I can't believe this argument perpetuates when it is so easy to disprove it. If I were an abuse victim (which I'm not unless we start counting very tiny incidents) I imagine I would be as traumatised by sexualised naked women as naked men. I can't help thinking 'Oh noes, think of the abuse victims!', might be a new spin on 'Oh noes, think of the children!'

An argument I’ve heard defending the lack of male nakeditty in kinkdom is — wait for it — NAKED MEN ARE UNATTRACTIVE. “Nobody” likes looking at naked men. Cocks are silly-looking, and men are embarrassed about them. Cocks are threatening and men are too polite to show them. The sight of naked cocks traumatizes abused women. The sight of naked men is actively undesirable.

I don’t believe the people making this assertion are all afraid of feeling aroused at the sight — I’m generally unaroused by the sight of naked women, and I do believe that many men who dislike seeing other men naked aren’t aroused enough by them to be deep-down worried about that aspect of things. But pretty clearly the rationalizers (male and female) feel most at ease in a world where men look and women pose.

Okay, usually I jump straight from the entry to the end of the comments, so I had to go back to find the David Boreanez picture. Dear god, that is hot.
